We call it a hot chocolate bonbon, but there are several cool ways to use this beautiful, creamy dome. Once your experience is delivered, you can choose what you want to do with it.
A creamy, steamy glass of hot chocolate
Pour boiling milk over your bonbon, and let it sit for a minute. Stir gently until the chocolate has melted completely. If you wish, you can substitute regular milk for almond milk or soy milk though this may impact the consistency of your drink as intended by us.
Alternatively, bring 3-4 cups of milk to a boil and add an equal number of bonbons. Let the hot chocolate simmer until it thickens, and serve immediately.
A thick, chilled milkshake
Pop a bonbon and your favourite ice cream into a blender. Pour a dash of milk and some ice cubes before blitzing. Be sure not to excessively blend in order to achieve a thick shake. Add a splash of bourbon or Baileys for an extra kick.
A generous serving of chocolate
Take a bite of the bonbon the way you would a regular bar of chocolate to satisfy a mid-day or post meal sweet craving
A sinful topping for your breakfast
Warm a bonbon in the microwave for just a few seconds. The dome shape should remain intact as you place it over your waffles, pancakes or French toast. Crack into it to reveal a luscious, molten centre as the chocolate oozes over your breakfast.
